Kathryn Tancig is a conservation-focused attorney licensed to practice law in both Texas and Florida. She earned her law degree from Vermont Law School, one of the nation’s top environmental law institutions. Kathryn began her legal career representing the Florida Department of Revenue in administrative and circuit court hearings across north central Florida. She later expanded her expertise at a leading real estate law firm before dedicating her practice to land conservation.

Before founding Tancig Law in 2021, Kathryn served as Alachua County’s Conservation Land Negotiator through her work with Alachua Conservation Trust. Her law practice focuses on negotiating, closing, and substantiating purchased and donated conservation easements. She also helps clients resolve real estate issues, establish effective public-private partnerships with funding agencies, and secure long-term stewards for their protected land. Tancig Law is based in College Station where Kathryn lives with her husband and their two little Texans.
